Q: Do I need a referral from my primary physician?

A: A referral is not usually needed to see a doctor of chiropractic. However, every health plan may have specific referral requirements that need to be met. Most insurance plans allow you to just give us a call and schedule an appointment.

Q: Does insurance cover chiropractic services?

A: Yes. Chiropractic care is covered under most health insurance plans. Major medical plans that include chiropractic are workers’ compensation, Medicare and some Medicaid plans.

Q: How does chiropractic care work?

A: Chiropractic is a health care profession that centers around musculoskeletal and nervous system disorders and their affect on our overall health. When these systems are not functioning normally, the overall performance of the human body suffers Chiropractic care is based around the idea that the body is self-sustaining and self-healing. Chiropractors practice a hands-on, drug-free approach that features examinations, diagnosis and a variety of treatment options.

Chiropractic care can make a difference in back, neck and joint pain, headaches, insomnia, soft tissue injuries, allergies and more. It also complements or supports other medical treatments patients may be receiving by their primary doctor.

Q: What should I expect during my appointment?

A: During your initial visit with Prime Injury & Wellness Clinic, our doctors will get to know your health history and current conditions. We will discuss different treatment options that will work best towards achieving your goals.

Q: What can I expect from treatment and is it ongoing?

A: Our chiropractic office will get your body back on track both chemically and structurally so it can perform at a high level. The number of chiropractic visits depends on the nature of your condition and treatment plan. A certain amount of visits will be necessary to address any acute or chronic pain. One appointment is not a sufficient amount of time to improve your body’s functionality.
